The History Graduate Program of Federal University of Rio Grande (PPGH-FURG) aims to:

(a) develop, expand, and deepen the study of History, of its practice and research on History teaching and experiences of the teaching-learning process;
b) promote the training of staff who performe activities related to teaching and research;
c) encourage inter and transdisciplinary discussion among the various areas of knowledge, seeking solutions to social problems;
d) promote the interrelationship between the undergraduate and graduate students, enabling the possibility of reflecting on the construction of historical knowledge;
e) seek the integration of Middle School and High School by stimulating integralized reflection and action about education in general and the teaching of History.
